Like several companies, COVID-19 hit movie theatres. Some chains have recently recouvert or now open their doors once a coronavirus pandemic has closed down much of the country in March. Many people have detailed concerns about sitting with strangers in an enclosed environment. There is far more to remember in the coronavirus age than the film to watch and the amount of popcorn to command.
It’s great news for film buffs who’ve been missing their big screen fix, here are some tips to watch Movies safely in Theatres:
- Wear proper masks and make sure your nose and mouth are covered.
Clean your hands before you put your mask on, as well as before and after you take it off, and after you touch it at any time.Make sure it covers both your nose, mouth and chin. When you take off a mask, store it in a clean plastic bag, and every day either wash it if it’s a fabric mask, or dispose of a medical mask in a trash bin. Don’t use masks with valves.
- Maintain a distance of at least six feet or more from people outside of your household.
To practice social or physical distancing, stay at least 6 feet (about 2 arms’ length) from other people who are not from your household in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Refrain from eating or drinking at the theatre.
Staff, who are commuting to work, taking orders, serving multiple parties, clearing dishes and utensils, and spending time in a hot and enclosed kitchen, will be facing more exposure than the average person.
- Clean your hands regularly, either with soap and water or with hand sanitizer.
Handwashing remains one of the best ways to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). It’s common sense and it works. However, it must be done properly and with soap and water. When soap and water are not available, the next best option is to use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Your sanitizer should contain at least 60% alcohol. If not, it won’t kill germs effectively.
- Sit apart from those you don’t live with or who you don’t know.
Right now, avoiding close contact with others is important, and keeping 1.5 metres away from each other is not an exact science. It’s about keeping some sensible and practical distance between you and others.
- Try to find theatres that are relatively large, not cramped or small.
- Visit movie theatre during non-peak hours, when the capacity is likely to be lowest.
