The beautiful animation style of this movie brings to life the novel adaptation about an Afghan girl, Parvana, who lives under the Taliban in a country where women are not allowed to leave the house without the presence of a male relative. Parvana disguises herself as a boy to support her family when her father is imprisoned. Nora went on to receive acclaim from critics who considered the film to be poetic and harrowing.
