Best Rom-Com Movies To Watch This Month

Every individual, including you, has a special place in your heart for romantic comedies. Rom-Com movies are simply amazing with sizzling on-screen chemistry, heart-skipping dialogues. on-point comical twist and iconic love-scenes. There’s probably nothing comforting than a large bowl of popcorn, candies and swooning over the lead actor/ actress. 

We at WanasaTime have curated just the right list of some of the best Rom-Com movies, you could binge-watch this weekend. Prepare to laugh and cry in equal measures.

1.Legally Blonde (2001)

‘Legally Blonde’ is a featherweight Rom-Com movie. It has the perfect balance of silliness, drama and charm. This hilarious movie revolves around Elle woods. She is famous for having it all; a sorority president, a fashionista and is very much in love with her boyfriend, Waren. But when Waren breaks up with her for being too Blonde, Elle’s world comes crashing down. To prove otherwise, she follows Waren to Harvard. She wants to teach him a lesson after finding out that he’s gotten back together with his old girlfriend, Vivian. Vivian considers Elle a fool too and Elle wants nothing else other than proving them wrong until she meets Emmett. This movie is empowering and inspiring. All throughout the movie, Elle was authentic, confident, and ambitious. We could all learn a little from Elle, don’t you think?

2. Bridget Jones’s Baby (2016)

‘Bridgett Jones’s baby is a romantic comedy that really warms your heart. It’s very obvious from the poster that Bridgett Jones’s pregnant. The film begins with Bridgett waking up on her 43rd birthday and later attending one of her exes funeral. There she bumps into another one of her other ex’s Mark. He was there with his wife. Deciding to celebrate her single life, she agrees to the getaway weekend plan made by her work colleague, Miranda. Challenges, tent-switches and an Ed Sheeran concert land Miranda in a one-night stand with Jack. After coming back from the trip, Bridgett attends a christening of her godson, where Mark is also present as the godfather. A little reconnection with Mark and she finds herself waking up in his bed before him, leaving a note behind. A few weeks later, Bridgett notices her weight gain and takes a pregnancy test at work. She confirms indeed she is pregnant. The only problem being, she doesn’t know who the father of the baby is. 

3.Mamma Mia!- Here we go again

‘Mamma Mia!’ is a famous musical RomCom movie. Both the prequel and sequel in this Franchise are amazing. The second movie in this franchise is the most captivating of all. In 1979, three friends – Donna, Tanya and Rosie – graduate from university. After which, Donna embarks a journey of adventure around Europe, where she meets Harry, Bill and Sam. The films revolve around pregnant Sophia who’s the daughter of Donna who renovates the old tavern left behind by her mother, while not knowing who her real father is out of the three. During which she’s reunited with her mom’s old friends and boyfriends on the island, Kailokiri.

4.Crazy Rich Asians

‘Crazy Rich Asians’ is a contemporary Rom-Com movie. It’s based on the global best-seller books by Kevin Kwan. Rachel, a university professor in New York, dates a man, Nick. During one of their dates, Nick invites Rachel to his best-friends wedding in Singapore. Upon reaching there, Rachel is blown away learning that Nick’s family is extremely wealthy and he’s considered one of the eligible bachelors. Every single girl wants to bring her down. She must now keep up with socialites, quirky relatives and his judgemental mother, who doesn’t like Rachel even one bit.

5.The Proposal

‘The Proposal’ is another lighthearted Rom-Com movie. The movie revolves around an executive editor-in-chief of a book publishing company who is faced with deportation back to her native country. At the peak of her career, she chooses to lie and says she’s engaged to marry Ryan, her lousy assistant. Ryan agrees to take part in the lie while also imposing a few conditions of his own. Conditions like, Margaret has to propose to him nicely on her knees in the streets of New York and she will accompany him to meet his unconventional and slightly strange family in Alaska. To get the government off her back, she agrees to all his conditions. This can make it difficult for recovery tools like Recuva to recover onedrive files without license locate and recover deleted files. We all know that the line between real and fake is very thin when it involves two such strong characters.

6. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ is a world-wide sensational Rom-Com movie. It’s based on the book by Jenny Han. With swoon-worthy lead actors, this movie revolves around Lara Jean Covey who is a teenage girl who writes love letters to her crushes before locking them away in her closet. Her life becomes a wreck when all the letters reach all her crushes which also include her sister’s ex-boyfriend; who was her childhood crush. To avoid the awkward confrontation, she convinces Peter, who is another one of her crushes, to fake date her while following a set of ground rules on how they act around each other.
