Sports play an important part in one’s life. It keeps them fit, safe, and involved. It is one such practice that helps us maintain a healthy body and a positive attitude. As much as the player is concerned with doing well on the field, so are the fans of the player and the country they represent, whether it’s the state, national, or international competitions.
This is precisely what the film Saina shows. The film follows the career highs and lows of India’s ace shuttler, Saina Nehwal, who was a former world number one. This movie goes on to pay homage to the people who have made a significant contribution to her journey and unbreakable courage.
Amole Gupte directed this biographical sports film. Originally, Shraddha Kapoor was signed for this role but due to rising health issues, she opted out of the film.
