The moviegoers have been sitting on the edge of their seats eagerly awaiting for the movie, Godzilla vs. Kong, ever since its announcement in October 2015. Originally scheduled to hit the theatres in November 2020, the film had to be postponed due to the global pandemic. After a long wait, the production company of the film, Legendary Pictures, announced the release date of the movie as March 26th, 2021. This movie is one of the most awaited releases in 2021.

In the Godzilla vs Kong trailer 2021, Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home and find themselves amidst the path of Godzilla, igniting a war between the two titans. The intense trailer gives a glimpse into the core plot of the movie, where the two mythical titans go head to head with each other in an epic faceoff of ages, and only one mighty beast shall emerge victorious in the battle. (Kong bows to no one!)

Godzilla’s reputation of being the saviour of humanity from Godzilla: King of the Monsters appears to be going down the hill with the creature going to great lengths causing harm to the humans in order to defeat its mortal enemy, King Kong. Meanwhile, King’s sensitive side can be seen in the movie trailer with the creature forming a powerful affectionate bond with a little girl. In addition, the trailer takes the story back into the past giving a sight of the time of titans and the prehistoric war, where the mighty creatures collided with each other.

  • Kong vs. Godzilla is the 36th film in the Godzilla franchise and the 12th film in the King Kong franchise.
  • The movie is a sequel to Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Kong: Skull Island, and the fourth film in Legendary’s MonsterVerse.
  • The film’s writers room was assembled in March 2017, and Wingard was announced as the director in May 2017.
  • Did you know? There are 17 Titans in the franchise so far. 
  • The character of King Kong first appeared in 1933 in the film King Kong.
  • The character of Godzilla first appeared in 1954 in the film Godzilla.
  • In the original 1962 film, King Kong vs. Godzilla, there was no real victor. Both titans fell into the water and then disappeared from sight.

  • The movie will be the third Kong movie to be released in the month of March. King Kong (1933) was released on March 2, 1933; Kong: Skull Island (2017) was released on March 10, 2017.
